THE ARTWORK

Piper Bridwell - Best Day

Best Day is a unique work created by Piper Bridwell in 2025 using mixed media on canvas. The composition unfolds on a softly blended background, shifting gradually from aqua green to pale pink, creating a light yet structured surface—consistent with the artist’s approach, which links color to a spiritual and personal experience.

On this surface, twelve oval forms are arranged. These elements, made with dense materials and applied with a decisive, gestural technique, are black in color and create a visual contrast with the delicate background. The use of black—uncommon in Bridwell’s usual color vocabulary—introduces a tension that encourages a more layered reading of the work.

As in many of the artist’s pieces, the regular arrangement and the tactile presence of the forms suggest a quiet reflection. Best Day once again reveals Bridwell’s ability to transform abstraction into an intimate and coherent visual language.

Biography of Piper Bridwell

Piper Bridwell was born in 1982 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Raised in the studio of her mother, sculptor and professional painter, she has always been surrounded by art and creativity but only as an adult she begins to try her hand at painting.

Piper thus becomes a self-taught artist, starting to experiment with color and with all possible styles and then finally succeeding in finding her artistic voice.

Piper Bridwell and her deep faith

Piper realizes her works by drawing inspiration from her deep faith and her gratitude to God.

The fusion of bright colors to create bright and bright backgrounds is a reflection of the way she hopes to live her life. The use of color, made with brushstrokes or thick spatulas on the canvas, is the way in which the artist conveys his gratitude for what God has done in his life.

Piper Bridwell often hides within her works symbols or words that speak to her as she creates, allowing viewers to explore and appreciate every little nuance of the work.
