Limited-edition sculpture by Romero Britto, My Love represents a colourful heart with the unmistakable polka dot and stripe patterns that characterise the artist's work.
As in all Britto's works, bright colours dominate, conveying the joy and positivity that are at the heart of Britto's poetics. On a stylistic level, references to Cubism are combined with a personal and colourful Pop style.
My Love is a free-standing resin sculpture measuring 14x15x8 cm. The back also features the same decorations as the front, so that the work can be seen at 360 degrees. It is a limited edition of 300 hand signed and numbered pieces and is provided with the original box and with the certificate of authenticity from BRITTO®️ Studios.
Romero Britto was born on October 6, 1963 in Recife, Brazil. After moving to Miami, he began his career as a self-taught artist, working alongside street artists and taking inspiration from their forms and techniques.
During a journey to Paris, the artist begins to identify himself through his personal and unique style. In the French capital, Britto was introduced to the works of masters such as Henri Matisse and Pablo Picasso, allowing him to develop his own technique, which the New York Times defines as a source of “warmth, optimism and love”.
Romero Britto developed a particular love for Cubism, that he featured and reinterpreted in the motives that characterize his paintings.
From the Parisian experience he will develop his iconic and unmistakable style: his works are characterized by a research of colours and positive vibrations, which, combined together, give life to bold and imaginative.
The artwork is delicate and will be packed with bubble wrap and rigid supports to protect it from potential damage during transport. It does not require a wooden box and delivery to EU countries takes 2-5 business days.
